Daniel:

King, may you live forever. You're awesome and yes we can be friends.

Narrator:

Yeah, just last week King Darious' top governers got thrown in. Let me tell you the story. Daniel was a top governor of the Persian Empire. King Darious and he were friends.

King:

I like you Daniel. Can you friend me on facebook and follow me on Instagram?

Narrator:

King Darious, the ruler of Persia. .. Well, the other governors didn't like that idea. So they planned to trick the king hurt Daniel and gain the reward for themselves.

Governors:

Let us laugh together. We have a great plan.

Narrator:

What was their plan and why? Daniel was amazing at We will not get caught. his job. In the Bible we are encouraged to live a blameless life. The other governors were so jealous of Daniels hardwork and kindness and leadership and more they tried to find him guilty of something. Could they? They could find anything. He was blameless. They spied on him like ninjas. Daniel was praying three times a day. That's why they came up with this plan to trap him.

Governors:

Oh wise King Darius. May you live for a very long, long, long, long and extra long time. Make a law oh wise King.

King:

Okay.

Governors:

Make a law for the 30 days or a month, whatever you choose, that every single person must pray only to you. And if they don't they get tossed in with the lions, and they be hungry.

Narrator:

Bom bom bom

King:

I love the idea that all should pray to Me. It will make me feel even more important.

Narrator:

News spread of the new law. When Daniel heard he went home, opened his windows and prayed to the living God, three times a day like he had always done. This new law did not stop him. He served God. This is exactly what the other governors needed. They ran to the king.

Governors:

Oh, dear king. May you live forever and a long time to your choice. Did you not write a law saying people should only pray to you?

King:

I did.

Governors:

Daniel prayers to his God not you. Burn.

Narrator:

The king was really sad. Night came. The king who was bound by law gave his order of Daniel to be thrown to the lions. The king yelled to Daniel as he felt.

King:

My friend may your god whom you follow save you.

Narrator:

Daniel hit the floor. It was dark growling was heard. A bright light appeared. Meanwhile, in the king's chambers, King Darius couldn't sleep. It was a long night. Morning came and he ran to the lions pit hoping for the best he yelled down.

King:

My friend. Are you still alive? Hello.

Daniel:

Yes. During the night, God sent His angel to protect me. I'm not hurt, not even a scratch.

Narrator:
